A new class for older people is starting in Bradford on Avon on Thursday, April 23. A Dancing Through Life taster session in March was popular so the dance sessions will now be held weekly from 10.30am-11.30am at the United Church hall, St Margaret's Hill, Bradford, at £4 per session.
Experienced dance artists Rebecca Seymour and Lucy Howell will lead the sessions, which will explore a range of dance styles and music. The classes will cater for those who would like to remain chair-based as well as the more physically active.
Whichever way you look at it an hour’s gentle exercise has got to be good for you. That’s what Wiltshire Dancing, the county’s dance agency are saying to older people in Bradford on Avon.
“I think a dance class for older people is a great idea. It’s another way of keeping active at the same time as enjoying music and using creative movement. I thought the music was fabulous,” said Chris Sylvester, participant and an older resident of Bradford.
