Picture perfect mums from Westbury have come out on top after their children won the Wiltshire Times’ Draw Mummy competition.

Amy Bulbeck, 11, beat off hundreds of other budding artists in the eight to 11-year-old category, winning a trophy and certificate for her mum Diane, who was drawn multi-tasking with the household chores.

Mrs Bulbeck, 37, of Station Road, Westbury, said: “The picture is very good. She has got me hoovering, having a coffee and trying to answer the phone, all at the same time.

“I thought all of the pictures in the competition looked lovely. Everyone did so well.

“Amy draws all the time. She gets it from her dad Tony. He likes to draw as well and does a lot of cartoons.”

Mum Helen Thomas, of Leigh Park, Westbury, was delighted to find out that her daughter Abigail had won the four to seven-year-old category.

“It looks nothing like me because according to Abigail I have a short blonde bob and I am stick thin, but I don’t mind that at all,” said Mrs Thomas, who has blonde-brown shoulder length hair.

“We were really excited when we found out Abigail had won - we were really pleased.

“Abigail was jumping up and down in the kitchen.”
