A Vintage Steam Rally is returning to Semington after a gap of several years.

The rally, run by The Wessex Station Engine Club, will return to Semington in June after 10 years away and the organisers are asking for anyone who would like to be involved to get in touch.

Proceeds from the rally will be going to Children's Hospice South West, and already confirmed to attend are vintage tractors, motorcycles, cars, stationary engines and vintage woodworking tools. There will also be an appearance from members of a Viking Society, led by King Eric Bloodaxe, who will set up a Viking village and re-enact a battle.

in particular the organisers are looking for anyone who may have an exhibit they would like to display at the event.

Eric Gay, event chairman, said: "We've got a nice lot of exhibits so far but we used to get 400 plus and would like to get it back to that. A lot of people are being quite nice to us because we're trying to help the children."

The event will take place on June 20 and 21 in fields just off the A361 before the Semington roundabout, if you approach from Trowbridge. Entry will be £2.50 for adults, with accompanied children under 15 going free.
