A memorial cricket match was held on Saturday between Bradford on Avon and Warminster in honour of Trowbridge man Adrian Cooksey.
Among those taking to the field was Mr Cooksey's son Adam.
Mr Cooksey, a former captain of Bradford's second team, died after being found unconscious in Spa Road, Melksham on March 8.
His funeral will be held in Holy Trinity Church, Trowbridge on Thursday at 2pm.
Bradford captain James Edwards said: "We lost by about 80 runs but the match was played in great spirit. It was a very fitting tribute to Adrian. He really loved his cricket. "Everyone was wearing black arm bands and we held a minute's silence. "I am sure there will be a good turnout from the club for the funeral."
