Police are appealing for witnesses after cash and cakes were stolen in two separate burglaries at cafes in Bradford on Avon.
Granny Mo's cafe and The Kennet and Avon Canal Trust cafe, both on The Canal Wharf, were burgled some time overnight between the hours of 4.30pm on Tuesday April 7 and 9am on Wednesday April 8.
The thieves managed to take a handful of small change, including the tips from the tip jar, from Granny Mo's, while also picking up one chocolate bun and one lemon bun on their way out.
The Kennet and Avon Canal Trust were less fortunate with a few hundred pounds stolen from the cafe which only opened in March.
The doors to both properties had been levered open and damaged in the process.
Sergeant Neil Berrett of Bradford on Avon Police said: "Burglaries in Bradford are not a regular occurrence. We don't get many in the town so we are particularly keen to prevent this happening again.
"I would urge anyone with information on this incident to come forward to help us with our inquiries."
