Soldiers tucked into curry as the Army unveiled a new super-diner at the Battlesbury Barracks in Warminster.
To mark the opening of the diner, which features a cafe, pizza outlet and shop, a Big Curry Lunch was held for hundreds of soldiers and their families to raise money for the Army Benevolent Fund.
Warrant Officer Steve Palmer said: “The new facilities are fantastic compared to what it used to be.
“The guys had quite a poor building to use before but now they have got a brand-spanking new building where they can relax.”
Work on the diner, funded as part of an £8 billion project led by the Ministry of Defence, began in Autumn 2007.
Last Wednesday’s Big Curry has raised more than £600 this year so far.
