A teenager from Melksham has been handed a community service order and ordered to pay compensation after being found guilty of attacking a taxi driver.
Last Thursday magistrates in Chippenham found Jamie Beta, 19, guilty of common assault on MJB taxi driver Paul Chick outside Beta’s home in Catalina Court, Bowerhill, on November 29.
Beta was sentenced to a 12-month community order comprising 100 hours of unpaid work and was told to pay £50 compensation and £50 court costs.
