A 23-year-old man has died after his car was involved in a horror collision with a JCB tractor near Warminster yesterday.

The local man was driving a Ford Scorpio on the A350 between Cley Hill roundabout and the Granada services, when he crashed with the tractor, which was towing a trailer carrying concrete building slabs, at about 3.45pm.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the tractor driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police closed the road for eight hours while they carried out an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
