POLICE seized a 'large quantity' of drugs which were discovered in a car in Trowbridge on Friday night during a routine operation to crack down on anti-social driving.

The joint operation, between Automatic Number Plate Recognition teams, the central roads policing unit and the local neighbourhood policing teams, targeted young drivers in the Trowbridge area.

Numerous motorists were pulled over and charged for a variety of offences, including speeding.

Police also discovered a large quantity of cannabis in one vehicle and two men, local to Trowbridge, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
