I read in your article (March 27, 2009) about the clampers returning to the Texaco garage in Trowbridge.
Why do people park there and wonder why they get clamped when going into the JobCentre?
There are plenty of signs to say that you will be fined or towed away, and if you can’t read that then you shouldn’t be driving.
I'm sorry I have no sympathy for these drivers who are a bunch of crybabies when they park where they shouldn’t.
There is a car park nearby, use your legs and walk from there, it isn’t far.
You would also think they would learn from parking there, one day I saw a driver park and get clamped outside the JobCentre, and she got her dad to come over to pay the fine. Two days later she returned and parked in the same spot.
Unfortunatly the clamper van wasn’t there.
So from now on, will people actually take note of the signs, remember that the land is owned by Texaco, not the JobCentre, and if you are late then tough, park in the Asda/Shires car park as 30p is a lot cheaper that £150.
I support the clamper van for catching out these drivers, good on him, and he has a lot of guts to do the job he does.
