A teenager has been arrested after a suspected arson attack on a caravan in Melksham this morning, which left two houses badly damaged.
Fire crews and police were called to Sangster Avenue in Melksham at just after 4.30am after a caravan was set alight.
The intensity of the fire damaged two houses, with the windows blown out and the front of the homes scorched.
The family who own the caravan managed to get out of the house before the flames spread to their home.
They have been moved to a safe location by police.
Police confirmed an 18-year-old Melksham man was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
He has been taken to Melksham police station where he will be interviewed by detectives later today.
