Self catering holiday apartments could be built on a farm near Westbury if planning permission is approved.
Ham Industrials Ltd is planning to convert redundant farm buildings at Storridge Farm, off Storridge Road, Westbury, to five apartments.
The units will be either two or three bedroom, and the site will include a car park with space for ten cars, as well as a garden area.
Paul Oakley, planning consultant for Oakley Planning And Conservation in The Street, All Cannings, who are dealing with the application, said: “A start date would be down to my client but some of the work has already started at the site - repair work is being carried out on the barns.
“They haven’t been used for a number of years because they’re no longer suitable for farming use now.”
He anticipated the construction would take about six months.
A decision on the application is likely to be made before June.
