Hundreds of people turned out to watch a twinning concert at Westbury Gardens in Bradford on Avon on Saturday.
The event was held to celebrate the twinning links between Bradford and French town Sully-sur-Loire.
The French orchestra called 'Societe', made up of 50 musicians, played to an audience of 300 before a buffet supper was served in St Margaret’s Hall.
Phil Turk, treasurer of Bradford on Avon and District French Twinning Association said: “The light music made people stop and watch, it had the audience dancing in the aisles.
"I think this event helps to make twinning more visible and audible."
Similar celebrations were held in 2001 to mark the 10th anniversary of the twinning, but the French orchestra returned due to popular demand.
The orchestra was founded in 1883 and is made up of people aged between 10 and 78 years old.
Vivienne Kynasten, chair of the twinning association, said: "Everyone enjoyed it - it has been very successful.
“All involved have made new friends that they will keep in touch with."
