While the rest of the county was basking in warm spring weather on Friday, snow was falling on the Longleat estate near Warminster.
There was no need for gritting the roads though, as the snow was fake and had been scattered over the front of the house by Gate Television Productions for a four-part television series called Four Seasons.
Tim Faulkner, location manager, said: “This is our third visit to Longleat House over the last eight months.
“We managed to get some fabulous aerial footage of the estate when it was covered in real snow and needed close-up shots with the actors.”
Filming will continue at Longleat until Monday.
