PREMIER DIVISON: Robson Taylor, Chippenham League Premier division joint pacesetters Potterne and Dog & Fox Ashley should collect another two points each this Sunday to keep them clear at the top of the table.

Potterne who are in the number one spot by virtue of their better goal difference travel to relegated FC Colerne who they beat 8-2 a fortnight ago when Myles Hickton topped scored with a three timer and with Potterne going into the game on the back of a 6-3 victory Biddestone Social, Colerne will defiantly be fearing the worse as their guests at their bath Road ground will be keen to add to their goal for tally.

The result should go the way of Potterne who should coast home to a convincing and high scoring win.

Biddestone Social v Semington Rovers

Having lead the table for the majority of the season, Biddestone Social have slipped down to third place following the loss of five points from their last four games.

Biddestone have been hit with an injury crisis that seems to getting worse week on week and with Gary Blackwood and John O’Meara ruled out for the remainder of the season they are struggling to raise a team as their names are added to the ever-growing injury list.

Biddestone host Semington Rovers this week and they will know that the result will make or break their season as another defeat will seriously damage any hopes they had of taking the title especially as they still have three of their closest title rivals still to play.

Semington go into the game on the back of possibly their worse ever defeat in the league after they were beaten 8-1 by Winsley last Sunday so their will be out to salvage some pride so with both teams expected to give their all it should be a good game and although Semington lost the reverse fixture 1-0, they may just have it in them to nick victory this time around.

Box Rovers v The Ship FC

Stuart Beeho’s Box Rovers side may have dropped out of the race for the title, but they could still have a major say as to who will finish top of the pile.

Rovers host The Ship this weekend and although the result won’t have any bearing on the sides at the top of the table, Rovers will want to win the game and take the spoils in the hope that the teams above them might yet slip up.

Rovers beat the Ship 5-3 in a thriller way back in September when Adam Taylor top scored with a hat trick and even though Rovers have not played for the past two weeks they should return to action with a win over a Ship side who hope to have a few of the payers back who missed last weeks crushing 9-2 defeat against Westbury Rangers A.

Dog & Fox Ashley v Holt

Dog & Fox Ashley having one of their best ever season’s in the top flight and currently share who share pole position with Potterne entertain Holt at St Laurence School, Bradford and Russell Whatley’s side know how important it is for them to claim a second win of the season over their guests for them to stay in the race for the title or the runners up spot.

When the teams met in September the Dog & Fox claimed the spoils thanks to a 7-0 victory and with Holt looking to arrest a four match losing streak that has seen concede 20 goals they know they will have to play a lot better than they have been doing if they are to have any hope of denying their hosts an 12th win of the season and a league double over themselves.

The result should go the way of the Dog but they will have to do it without top scorer Steve Roddy, manager Whatley and Dom Khaekphong, but it Steve Wickings can maintain his good form in front of goal Holt should suffer another defeat.

Miller Sports v Winsley

Winsley travel to the Beeches, Shaw knowing that a victory over their hosts Miller Sports would see Tim Knight’s side drop out of the top flight. Miller who are currently bottom of the table with two points from a possible 36 take on a Winsley side who since the start of 2009 have lost just two of their eight games.

Winsley who go into the game on the back of a 8-1 triumph over Semington Rovers have already beaten the Miller Boys 6-2 when two goals apiece from Neil Hannaford, Mike Little and Phil Little made up their half dozen.

It would come as a surprise if Winsley never wrapped up a league double over their hosts at the Beeches who have failed to scored in 10 of their 18 games to date so if Winsley defend well and Mike Little can add to his 24 goals to date then the visitors should pick up another two points.
