Trowbridge Wanderers have changed the dates of their annual six-a-side summer tournament.
Wanderers, who formed in 1994, have been running the tournaments at John of Gaunt School, Trowbridge, and are looking to surpass their target of 200 teams from near and afar.
The tournament will start on Friday July 10th and will run over the weekend until Sunday July 12th, is the biggest date in the club's calendar and they are starting to look for teams to fill all the age groups, from under 7s to under 16s, including girls' team from under 10s to under 15s.
A total of 170 teams took part last season and club chairman Chris Penelhum said: “This tournament is very successful and we hope to continue with this and invite more teams and make it bigger and better than any other season, really show other teams where Trowbridge is and what we are about."
There will be refreshments and a BBQ and there will be light entertainment available there too with support from the Trowbridge Town Council’s Sports Roadshow with their inflatable assault course.
Details for the whole event can be found on the club website, with regular updates at www.trowbridge-wanderers.co.uk or you can pick up information by contacting the tournament organiser Allan Bancroft on 01225 762967.
All teams are welcome, and Trowbridge Wanderers look forward to seeing a record number of teams at the event.
