Wessex Division One
West Wilts played some textbook hockey to clinch a win from the top of the table team in their final league match in Wessex One of the season.
Once again the control of the side stemming from goal keeper Jules Turner, and full backs Nic Yalland and Gus Kerr-Bonner set the team in fine form from the push back.
Anji Whittamore spread the ball superbly to the midfield, who drove hard at Chippenham.
Laura Allsop worked the ball into the D to achieve a penalty corner, which was converted into a beautiful goal by Helen Culverhouse.
The team kept composure, and drew the defenders to penetrate the D several times.
The Chippenham goal keeper was peppered by shots and Fi Pridham shot a fine strike to add to her years tally to claim the West WIlts ladies "Top Gun" award for the season.
Extra speed and aggravation was applied to the Chippenham defence with sisters Hannah and Millie Cornish, and Olivia Evans, who were all unlucky to have their shots saved.
The midday sun prevailed and the match finished with a win for Wilts.
