The father of a man found dead in his Melksham flat on Friday has paid tribute to his son.
Owen Lewis, was found at his home in Bath Road, close to the Sainsbury's store, on Friday morning, sparking a joint operation between police, paramedics and the fire service.
The 41-year-old father-of-three had been a keen sportsman and had played cricket for Beanacre Cricket Club for many years, as well as coaching youths in cricket and rugby.
His father, Roy Lewis, 69, said: "He had a keen sense of humour and was a cheerful person. Naturally as a parent I feel deep anguish about what has happened and I feel very sad for his children who are now looking at life without their father around."
Mr Lewis said he and his family were waiting for a post mortem examination to be carried out this week to determine the cause of his son's death.
Police are not treating Mr Lewis' death as suspicious.
