A motorist from Warminster accused of causing the death of a 42-year-old tree surgeon in Bath appeared before a crown court judge on Friday.
Zachary Redman is accused of driving dangerously in Rossiter Road on August 8 last year in an accident involving Stephen Beadle, who died in hospital of his injuries later that month.
Redman, 23, of Allcock Crescent, Warminster, faces charges of causing death by dangerous driving, dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
He appeared briefly in the dock at Bristol Crown Court during a preliminary hearing and was told to return to the court on June 12 when he may enter pleas to the charges.
He was released on unconditional bail.
