People involved in the tourism industry in Wiltshire and the south west came together at an historic manor house for a literature exchange on Wednesday.
The event, which brought together more than 30 attractions, including Longleat Safari Park near Warminster, as well as local bed and breakfasts, was a joint venture between Bradford on Avon Tourist Information Centre and Iford Manor, where the event was held.
Debbie Stuples, manager of the TIC in Bradford, said: “The Government are not very forthcoming with money for the TIC so it something we are running off our own backs for the good of the area.”
The event was designed to provide a cost-effective way for local businesses and the tourism industry to provide visitors with comprehensive information about local tourism sites, accommodation and dining venues.
