Division One
Bradford United v Blue Circle
Bradford were somewhat flattered by the 5 -1 scoreline in their victory over Blue Circle.
The early exchanges were fairly even but Bradford scored first after five minutes when Skip Ayoub lobbed an advancing goalkeeper and John Baker added a second twenty minutes later when forcing in the rebound after Ryan Marks had saved his penalty.
Play was then held up for half an hour when Ryan Earney suffered a suspected broken ankle and was taken to hospital.
Adam Cooksey scored almost immediately after the restart when his corner swung straight in. After the break Bradford added two further goals, a driving header from Aiden Blowers and a straightforward shot from Andrew Carpenter.
Throughout Circle continued to prove a threat, twice hitting the crossbar and their refusal to give up was rewarded with a neatly taken goal by Daryl Maxwell ten minutes before the end.
