KEN Toy died in the Royal United Hospital, Bath on March 3, after suffering from heart problems, aged 79.
Mr Toy, who had lived in Dicketts Road, Corsham, with his wife Vera, was a keen rugby and cricket fan and after playing in his younger years in Cornwall he followed the sports on television later in his life.
Mr and Mrs Toy had no children and he was an only child. He was very well known in the town and an active member of the Corsham branch of the Royal British Legion and the Corsham Club.
Mr Toy enjoyed a drink in the Methuen Arms Hotel in Corsham High Street with friends.
His funeral service will take place on March 16 at 1.45pm at the West Wiltshire Crematorium, Semington. His widow has asked that donations in his memory should go to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance care of D.J Bewley Funeral Directors, Bank Street, Melksham SN12 6LE.
The funeral service will be followed by a buffet at the Royal British Legion building in Corsham to which all are welcome.
