A SNOW-COVERED German castle was the venue when Sandra Hassenbach married Matthew Evans on February 21.
The bride is the eldest daughter of Gerd and Karola Hassenbach, of Nuremberg, and the bridegroom is the son of June and Eig Evans, of Hazelwood Road, Melksham.
The bride was given away by her father and attended by her sister Angi. Lee Chappell, a schoolfriend of the bridegroom, was best man.
After the ceremony, which was held at Nuremberg Castle, the guests, including many family and friends from England, travelled a short distance to the picturesque village of Diepersdorf for a reception at the Distlerhof Hotel.
The day was made even more special by the fact that deep falls of snow over the previous few days had created a spectacular landscape around the wedding venue and reception location.
The couple, who met while living in Lancashire, now live in Preston. The bride teaches languages at a secondary school near Blackpool and the bridegroom is a project manager for BAE Systems. They will spend their honeymoon in the Maldives.
