Wurzels to help mark village carnival's 25th birthday
WEST Country band The Wurzels will help a village mark the 25th anniversary of its annual carnival.
Organisers of the Box Revels event held a meeting last week to discuss this year’s event on May 25, Bank Holiday Monday, and revealed they would be inviting the well-known West Country band to headline it.
There will also be a celebratory banquet at Selwyn Hall in the village on Saturday, May 23 with live entertainment.
Tickets for the banquet cost £12.50 each and are on a first come, first serve basis and can be bought at Stop Press newsagents or Hawthorn Post Office.
