Chippenham Cantata celebrates its silver jubilee this year. For its spring concert on March 21 it is planning an evening of Mozart, including his Requiem in D Minor, Laudate Dominum, Ave Verum and the Exultate Jubilate, which is a piece for a soprano soloist.
Susan Coates, who lives in Chippenham, will be performing this solo piece and will be joined by Paula Boyagis, Richard Rowntree and Niall Hoskin for the Requiem. Robin Jackson will be the organist and the performance will be conducted by Andrew Baatz, who was appointed musical director in September 2008.
The Chippenham Cantata is a mixed adult amateur choir which has been singing since 1984.
It welcomes applications from new members on chippenhamcantata.org.uk Tickets for the concert at St. Andrew's Church, Chippenham, are available from the Chippenham Tourist Information Centre, members of the choir or on the door. The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £8 for adults, children 16 and under free.
