PREMIER DIVISION: Having missed out on a fixture last Sunday when their scheduled opponents Biddestone Social were unable to raise a team, Westbury Rangers A who have only featured in three league matches since the end of last November and nine since the start of the season will be hoping that weather permitting they will be able to play the Ship FC at Meadow Lane tonight.
The Ship have only managed four more games than their hosts so this could be a big night for both teams as they attempt to catch up on some of their lost fixtures.
On paper Westbury should take the spoils and keep alive their distant hopes of finishing in the top two, having lost their opening two matches Rangers were being written off but Shaun Gardiner’s side have put together a seven match unbeaten run and they know that their destiny is now in their own hands because if they could do the impossible and win their remaining 15 matches then the title would be theirs.
Unlike their hosts Lee Hayward’s Ship side actually started their first season in the top flight in great form and lost just one of their opening five games but since then six defeats in eight games has seen them slip down the table to 11th place.
The Ship are unlikely to get anything from tonight game at the match that kicks off at 7.00pm should be won comfortably by the home team.
