A Man of the Match performance from Captain Lewis Jordan inspired Westbury Youth to a 6-0 win over League Leaders Melksham Town in the U16’s Green Division.
Westbury dominated this game from the kick off and created numerous scoring chances but due to poor finishing, good defending and goal keeping, there were no goals in the first half and the teams went in level at half time.
A rousing half time team talk from Manager Andy Wheble galvanised Westbury and within minutes of the second half starting, they went into the lead with a goal from Matthew Wheble. Immediately after the restart, Westbury were 2-0 ahead when Flynn Precup scored.
A brace from Chris Lanfear and further goals from Adam Gratton and Matthew Calloway completed the scoring for Westbury who are now unbeaten in 5 games and can continue to build on these results that stem from excellent team play.
