A patriotic St George's Day festival, to encourage patriotism locally, will be held in Warminster in 2010.
Organisers have big plans for the festival which will see some of the streets closed off to hold entertainment, stalls, a fun fair and much more in what will be a joint effort by all of the community.
Nick Pitcher, who is working with the town council to organise the event, said: "Everyone appreciates that people celebrate their own country but English people tend to celebrate St Patrick's Day which is funny.
"We are proud to be from Warminster; we are proud to be English, but there are not enough events for people to celebrate it.
"People don't get patriotic until it is time to pull together like in the War. You couldn't get a more patriotic country in those kinds of times."
