Division Two Cup
FC Courthouse v Bratton
This first round, 2nd Leg of the E J Shanley & Son Limited sponsored Division Two Cup saw FC Courthouse turn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg into a 5-3 win on aggregate to progress to the Semi Finals.
Scott Askew scored a brace in the first half to make it two-nil at the interval and turn the match in Courthouse’s favour.
With the second half only a few minutes old Bratton tied the aggregate score at 3-3 when Sam Tucker scored.
Both teams then went in search of the winning goal, this fell to Richard Bliha for Courthouse to make it 4-3 and then in the dying minutes Askew completed his hat trick for 5-3.
Bromham Reserves v St Andrews Winsley
Bromham Reserves edged St Andrews Winsley 2-1 at home in the first leg of their Trowbridge and District Division Two Cup Semi Final.
St Andrews started the game more brightly but it was the home side that opened the scoring, when a ball over the top was neatly finished by Jim Sandiford.
Tom Chapman headed in at the back post to make it 1-1 shortly after, and this was how it finished until the interval.
Soon into the second period, Bromham made it 2-1 when a scramble in the box wasn't cleared and Anthony Butler tapped in.
Although late pressure from the away side, a 2-1 win to Bromham was how this first leg finished.
