SEEND United Reserves put themselves in charge of their E J Shanley and Son Ltd-sponsored Division Two Cup quarter-final with an away 3-2 first-leg victory against St Andrews Winsley.
In the only Bradfords Building Supplies Trowbridge League game to survive the weather, Seend broke the deadlock after 20 minutes with a cracking volley from outside the area.
St Andrews pressed for the rest of the first half and were finally rewarded when another fantastic strike, this time from Jed Osborne, brought the equaliser right on the half-time whistle.
St Andrews started the second period the better team and took the lead with a clever header from Tom Baker, but Seend came back strongly, scoring two goals and missing a penalty before the end of the game.
