Plans are progressing to implement 20mph speed limits across a Wiltshire village after safety concerns.
Wiltshire Council has launched a public consultation on proposals to introduce 20mph speed limits on multiple roads in Chirton and Conock, near Devizes.
The planned changes would mean lower speed limits on several streets in the area, although the A342 past the village would remain unaffected.
In total, the new speed limit would cover C51 Patney Road, C51 The Hollow, C51 The Street, C241 Small Street, Miller Close, Park View, Thumwood Terrace and Yew Tree Close.

Wiltshire Council says the proposed changes are “in the interest of highway safety” and come after concerns were raised by Chirton and Conock Parish Council.
A spokesperson added: “This Traffic Regulation Order has been proposed by the Pewsey Area Board as a result of an issue raised by Chirton and Conock Parish Council through the subsidiary Local Highway and Footway Improvement group.
“A speed limit assessment has been carried out with the recommendation for a reduction in speed limit.”
Residents can have their say on the plans until December 23 when the consultation ends.
