Town centre streets will be closed by the council, with delays likely and an alternative route to the streets will not be provided.
In Trowbridge, Castle Street (from its junction with Market Street to its junction with Fore Street), Fore Street (from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Wicker Hill) and Wicker Hill (from its junction with Fore Street to its junction with Hill Street) will be closed.
The closures by Wiltshire Council from December 9 to December 13 between 7pm and midnight are to allow “public realm improvements and associated works”.
While access will be permitted for residents and businesses “where possible”, there will be delays and there will be no access for everyone else

A Trowbridge Town Council spokesperson said: “This order is required to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out public realm improvements and associated works whilst relieving congestion and allowing access for businesses.
“Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
“No alternative route is available. The closures will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.”
