Revised plans have been revealed for new homes on the site of a former NHS headquarters earmarked for demolition.
For years Southgate House, off Pans Lane in Devizes, housed the local Clinical Commissioning Group.
The site has been disused since becoming surplus to requirements and has been earmarked for over 30 homes.
Plans were initially lodged by Newland Homes Ltd and NHS Property Services Ltd to demolish the existing office building and replace it with 36 homes in June.
The designs were criticised by the town council over worries about the design, layout, and lack of affordable housing.

The developers have since submitted a new proposal to Wiltshire Council which has reduced the number of homes planned for the site to 34.
Just one of these properties would be an affordable home.
The alterations to the scheme come after Wiltshire Council’s drainage engineer claimed a “credible drainage strategy” was not in place.
A covering letter in the revised plans said: “Following comments from Wiltshire’s drainage engineer at the end of July, we have reduced the overall number of units following discussions with Wessex Water to provide an acceptable surface water solution for the site.
“As a result, we have updated a number of plans to reflect this.”
The site remains on the market for £2.5 million.
