A full closure order has been granted for a Chippenham house following concerns regarding anti-social behaviour.
The closure was granted at Swindon Magistrates Court on Thursday, November 28, meaning that nobody other than the resident, police or those authorised by Wiltshire Council can enter the property for three months.
Wiltshire Police had received regular complaints from neighbours regarding the property in River Parade.
Anyone caught breaching the order will now be committing a criminal offence which carries a penalty of up to 51 weeks in prison, a fine, or both.
Sgt Jamie Ball said: "We have been receiving regular reports from neighbours of anti-social behaviour including noise complaints and disorderly behaviour coming from this address which is of great concern to us, and the residents living nearby.
"Based on this information, we applied for a closure order to prevent the anti-social behaviour associated with the address which has been causing distress for residents in the local area.
"We will continue to carry out patrols in the area and work in partnership with local authorities to ensure the order is adhered to."
