Police have issued an update after a “serious” crash closed a key A-road for hours.
The A346 was shut last night at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, November 26, between Chiseldon and Ogbourne St George following a crash on the busy route.
The road remained closed on Wednesday morning while emergency services worked at the scene.
Police revealed the A346 was expected to reopen during the afternoon in a statement alerting drivers.

They added that the crash was “serious” although it is not yet known if anyone was injured.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Please be aware that the A346 at Ogbourne St George is closed due to a serious road traffic collision involving two vehicles yesterday.
“The road is expected to reopen this afternoon. Please seek alternative routes.
“If you were travelling on this road and witnessed a collision at 6.22pm on Tuesday (November 26), please call 101 quoting reference number 54240139911.”
The Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service have also been in attendance during the incident.
