Drivers have been spotted “ignoring” road closures on a severely flooded road in Wiltshire.
The B3105 at Staverton has reportedly been closed following flooding during Storm Bert which has made the route impassable.
But cars have been pictured abandoned after their drivers apparently tried to brave the floodwater throughout Monday, November 25.
One local at the scene told this paper he had seen multiple drivers “ignoring” road closure signs during the afternoon and that the flooding near the Nestle bridge was “the worst” he’d even seen.
Police have also reported that the route between Sutton Benger and Christian Malford was flooded and blocked by abandoned vehicles on Monday morning.

Meanwhile Wiltshire Council has warned drivers not to drive through floodwater, particularly when road closures are in place.
The council has also warned that there are “significant delays” affecting drivers as a result of the conditions.
A spokesperson said: “The flooding caused by Storm Bert is causing significant traffic delays.
“If you’re planning to travel, please check before you leave and allow plenty of time to get to your destination.
“Follow the signage and do not try to drive through floodwater.”
