A key A-road into Wiltshire remains blocked by flood water after the firefighters were called to the scene.

The A363 Bradford Road is one of dozens of roads in the area that has been shut by emergency services following flooding across the south west.

The key route, which is used by many to travel between Bath and Wiltshire towns like Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge, is shut at its junction with the A4, a few miles into Somerset.

This closure has been in place since firefighters were called to the scene at around 7am on Monday, November 25.

While emergency services have left the scene, red tape remains blocking off the route.

A van has also been spotted “floating” in the flood water just past the closure.

This adds to considerable travel woes in the area, with dozens of roads in and around Wiltshire shut, including the centre of both Chippenham and Bradford on Avon.
