A drug driver fled his still-moving car after being caught speeding at 70mph on a 40mph road.
Blerim Losha, 31, left the vehicle to roll into a garden before being caught and arrested in his home on Yeoman Way, Trowbridge.
He pleaded guilty to failing to stop, careless driving and drug driving in Swindon Magistrates’ Court on November 13, and has been banned and fined.
On May 22, shortly after midnight, Losha was seen travelling at around 70mph in a 40mph zone but failed to stop for RPU officer PC Richardson on County Way.
Losha then turned onto Bradley Road, then Yeoman Way before continuing onto Sleightholme Court.
He then travelled to the furthest point before getting out of the car and fleeing while it was still moving, leaving it to roll into the pavement and up onto a garden.
He was found by local response officers at his home address in Yeoman Way soon after where he failed a drugs wipe, where he was arrested and charged with failing to stop for police, careless driving and driving above the specified drug limit.
He was banned from the roads for three years, fined £760 and required to pay a victim surcharge of £308 and court costs of £85.
