Cala Homes has introduced its Showhome of Support initiative to its development called The Orchards in Purton, Wiltshire.

These businesses are from Swindon and nearby areas, and their goods range from handmade pottery and organic skincare products to wellness goods, pet supplies, and homeware.

The showhome is also a platform for wider community engagement.

Purton schools and community groups can apply for funding to meet local needs through various forms of support, such as bursaries, grants, and sponsorships.

Neil Simpson, Sales & Marketing Director for Cala Homes (Cotswolds), expressed delight in bringing the initiative to Wiltshire.

He said: "The Orchards development is situated in the village of Purton within a short walk to some of these high street shops and in easy reach of larger towns including Swindon, Cirencester, and Chippenham.

"The area is filled with brilliant independent retailers, who were more than happy to be featured in our new showhome.

"It’s great to be able to champion so many homegrown brands in our new showhome.

"With the help of these local businesses, we’ve been able to give The Orchards a uniquely Wiltshire feeling which we can’t wait to show to potential homeowners."

The Orchards offers a range of detached and semi-detached two, three, four, and five-bedroom houses.

The homes are suitable for various types of residents, from first-time buyers to those looking to downsize.

All homes are finished to a high standard with modern specifications.

The Showhome of Support initiative is part of Cala’s Community Pledge, which aims to provide social impact for communities beyond planning obligations.

The pledge includes a variety of engagement activities, such as learning programmes, volunteering, and donations.

The showhome, which is the first of its kind in the area, is now open for the public to view.
