Over 150 tractors will descend on a Wiltshire town centre for a day of festivities.

The Tractor N’ Tinsel Run & Market will take place in Devizes for the fourth year on December 22 and will see more than 150 farmers bring their tractors into the town.

These vehicles will set off on a parade around Wiltshire at 10.30am, starting in Devizes and heading toward Pewsey, Marlborough, West Kennet, and past the White Horse at Alton Barnes, before ending back in Devizes.

Farmers and tractor owners can register to join the route for £30 per tractor and £10 per passenger.

The event will be run by Devizes Young Farmers Club (YFC) and will raise money for Oracle Head and Neck Cancer UK, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and the Stroke Association.

So far, the annual event has raised £30,000 for different charities.

Devizes YFC chairman Luke Pearce said: “We are pleased to support Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK with this year’s tractor run.

“The charity helped my family friend Jon when a golf-ball-sized lump appeared on the side of his neck.

“It took several months for Jon to be diagnosed with cancer, but he has since recovered, having been treated and rehabilitated by the team at Swindon Great Western Hospital, with the support of the charity.”
