A Wiltshire town’s speeding hotspots have been revealed after police launched a crackdown on rule-breaking drivers.
Officers from Wiltshire Police’s Chippenham Neighbourhood Team have been conducting speed checks at key locations around the town where there are concerns over road safety.
A report to Chippenham Town Council has revealed which roads have been targeted over the last two months and how many motorists were caught speeding on these routes.
Officers were deployed to the A4 Rowden Hill twice in October, with the fastest speed clocked during those occasions 42mph in a 30mph area.
This driver was given notice of intended prosecution while 19 others were offered words of advice over their speed.
