The band that recorded the most-played song of the 21st century will play at a festival near Wiltshire next summer.

The band is Snow Patrol, and the song is Chasing Cars - reported in 2019 by the BBC to be the most popular song on radio since 2000.

They will be playing alongside Elbow, Sting, The Script, Blossoms, James and Rag’N’Bone Man at Forest Live at Westonbirt Arboretum on Tuesday, June 17 2025.Texas play at the 2024 event (Image: Johnny Hathaway)

Chasing Cars never hit number one but did stay in the charts for over three years after its release in 2006.

Other hits by Snow Patrol include ‘Run’, ‘Just Say Yes’ and ‘Open Your Eyes. They have earned seven Meteor Ireland Music Awards, an Ivor Novello award and been nominated for six BRIT Awards and one GRAMMY.

Over two million people have attended Forest Live gigs which have happened across the country over the last 23 years.

Money raised is used by Forestry England to maintain the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests for everyone to enjoy, to run important conservation projects and to keep growing trees.

Tickets will go on sale from 10am on Friday, November 15.
