A pub that is currently on the market for nearly £300,000 was among the latest batch of venues to receive new food hygiene ratings.

The George and Dragon Inn, in Potterne near Devizes, managed to scoop a four-out-of-five rating following a recent inspection by food safety officers.

This made it one of the highest performing Wiltshire venues during recent inspections.

The Wadworth pub is currently listed as up for sale for a price of £295,000 and was described as “under offer” by Rightmove at the time of writing.

There were other strong ratings handed out by inspectors, however The Fox and Hounds pub in Broughton Gifford and Nagas The Spice Minister in Warminster were both told to improve following two-out-of-five and one-out-of-five performances.
