A social club in Calne could get a bigger snooker room if Wiltshire Council approves a recent planning application.
North Star Club in Bremhill View has requested permission to carry out improvement work on the building.
According to the plans, the extension will allow for a bigger snooker room and will provide a loft area for storage.

The venue is a members’ club near Calne Town Football Club with facilities for a range of activities including skittles, darts and pool.
The application also proposes “removing the ceiling above the bar and club area to bring more light into the building by introducing a vaulted roof over with roof windows”.
It adds: “North Star Club has been operating for a number of years, it has undergone a few upgrades in the past.”
The extension would be constructed on the existing tarmac courtyard.
Wiltshire Council is expected to make a decision by Thursday, December 19.
The details of all planning applications submitted to the council can be found on the building and planning control public register.
