Cllr Mayes said: “I finished in under an hour, which I’m really pleased about.”

She added: “The challenge to find more foster carers carries on, so if you think you can foster a child and change their life forever, please get in touch.”

Residents must be at least 21 years old, have a spare bedroom and be able to drive to foster a child.

Cllr Mayes has been a councillor since 2009 and represents Bromham, Rowde and Roundway.

She is also the cabinet member for children's services, education, and skills.

Wiltshire Council’s children’s services was rated Outstanding by Ofsted at the end of 2023.

The Clock Change Challenge is organised by the Calne Community Campus and hosts 5km and 10km road race along country lanes, as well as a 1.5km fun run which loops around traffic-free sports fields.
