A new garden village development has been launched off a major Wiltshire A-road after construction started this year.
Building work began at the Alexandra Gate development, off the A4 Chilvester Hill on the outskirts of Calne, in March.
In total, the project will see developer Bewley Homes build 28 two, three, four and five-bedroom detached homes at the site.
The estate has now been officially opened following the completion of The Lambourne, the development’s show home which can now be visited by potential buyers.
Prices for houses at the development start at £450,000.

The opening of Alexandra Gate was marked by pupils from Fynamore Primary School cutting the ribbon at the site.
Elaine Stratford, sales and marketing director at Bewley Homes, said: “We were delighted to welcome pupils from Fynamore Primary School to be part of this special day.
“Their excitement and enthusiasm brought a wonderful energy to the event, and it was fantastic to see the children taking pride in their local community.
“At Bewley Homes, we are committed to building homes that enhance the towns and villages in which they are located, and it was important to us that the opening of our new development at Alexandra Gate involved the community, starting with its youngest members from the local school.”
