A Wiltshire man has been jailed for eight months after being convicted for possession of an offensive weapon and a knife blade.
Daniel Lamp, 41, of Silver Street, Warminster, pleaded guilty to having an extendable baton and a Stanley craft-shaped blade melted onto a plastic handle while in Trowbridge on Thursday, May 30.
He also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress, and failed to surrender to custody at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Friday, September 20, while on bail.
Lamp was jailed by the court on Saturday, October 5, for a total of eight months and the weapons were forfeited.
