An Afro-Caribbean hair salon specialising in dreadlocks, curly hair and braids is staging a ‘grand opening’ event after relocating to new premises in Trowbridge town centre.
The De Creative Emporium hair and art studio was previously based in the Market Hall at Castle Place shopping centre but has relocated to 8 The Gateway shopping centre.
The new salon specialises in Afro-Caribbean hair and curly hair care. It also has its own in-house hair products and cosmetics shop.
After opening the first salon and shop in March 2023, owners Nako and Eddy Bedu Addo decided they wanted a bigger, more modern salon in a better location.
They moved last month and now want to unveil their new salon at their grand opening event on Saturday, October 26, from 12 noon.
Nako and Eddy said: “We invite the whole community to come out and celebrate with us, explore our services, and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon.
“De Creative Emporium aims to create a space where clients can embrace their natural beauty and leave feeling confident and empowered and we look forward to welcoming you all on Saturday.”
They say De Creative Emporium is dedicated to providing “exceptional” hair care services for Afro-Caribbean and curly hair types.
“Our team of experienced stylists are passionate about empowering their clients through expert knowledge and personalised service, ensuring everyone feels beautiful in their own skin.
“They are dedicated to celebrating and enhancing the beauty of curls, dreadlocks, French Braids, box braids, micro braids, crochet styles, and much more.”
At the opening, stylists will offer customers quick cuts, complimentary drinks and nibbles and a live DJ.
During the school half-term holiday, the salon is offering special ‘Half Term Braids’ for children.
