Highways consultants working for Wiltshire Council have issued an update on the work taking place on the A350 through Westbury.
AtkinsRéalis say that due to a change in design, the works along the A350 Warminster Road in Westbury will now be night-time only, there will no longer be any day-time closures.
They added: “The working hours for the duration of the scheme will be 19:00 – 06:00 with no weekend working. Signs on site will be altered to reflect this change.”
Work to resurface the busy main road began on Monday, October 21 and will be completed by Friday, November 8.
The works involve repairs to the existing carriageway, the installation of new road markings and the adjustment of surface ironwork.
The road closure on the A36 at Limpley Stoke has been lifted from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, November 10 while the A350 works are taking place.
Earlier, AtkinsRéalis said there will be no weekend working during the works, which are being carried out in three phases.
Work will take place overnight from Monday, October 21 to Friday, October 25 from 7pm to 6am.
The 24-hour road closure planned from Monday, October 28 to Thursday, October 31 no longer applies.
From Friday, November 1 to Friday, November 8 work will take place from 7pm to 6am. The A350 will open at 6am on Saturday, November 9.
