A woman has been arrested after a man suffered “serious head injuries” at a multi-storey car park in Swindon.

Paramedics were called to Spring Gardens car park, near Fleming Way, before 5.30pm on Wednesday, October 16, and police were requested to assist them during a medical incident.

When officers arrived, a man in his 30s was being treated for serious head injuries and he was later taken to hospital for further treatment.

These injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A woman in her 40s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and has since been released on bail.

A police investigation remains ongoing, and officers were spotted at the scene carrying out enquiries the following day.

A spokesperson for the force added: “Officers were called to Spring Gardens car park, Swindon, at around 5.30pm on Wednesday (October 16) to assist ambulance staff responding to a medical incident.

“They were treating a man with serious injuries to his head.

“Shortly after a woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of GBH. She has been bailed while enquiries continue.

“A man in his 30s was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries, not thought to be life threatening.”
